I hadn't listened to McCain's acceptance speech before. 46 minutes in. Nothing - nothing even remotely like this - has been said in a political speech before.

I don't get it. Surely he's said the same thing dozens of times before - which is not to detract from the fact that the poor chap went through hell and still seems straight enough.
BTW, from his mannerisms, do you not think that he is in total chronic agony of some sort, even smiling seems to cause him physical pain?
