Dumb outrage

Apparently, people who bought iPhones are outraged by a $200 price cut. That's kind of dumb. The pricing policy of technology is always to sell at a big premium over production cost when the product is brand new, to recover development costs, then sell at a lower rate when the next big thing or enhancement comes out.

Admittedly, this has happened pretty quickly with the iPhone. But it's always the way.
