Convoluted surface

Yes, I know he was a civil servant, and this makes for some harmless fun, but the case of the man with the very small brain is fascinating:

"The brain itself, meaning the grey matter and white matter, was completely crushed against the sides of the skull," Feuillet told AFP.

"The images were most unusual... the brain was virtually absent," he said.
We know the convoluted surface of the brain is very important, and this seems to confirm that. It also shows how little we know about the brain.
