MCB Finances #4

Another rebuff for Michael Gove:

Michael Gove: To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government how much (a) financial support and (b) support in kind her predecessor departments the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, Department for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, the Department for Transport, Local Government and the Regions and their agencies gave to the Muslim Council of Britain in each year since 1997. [99397]

Meg Munn: I refer the hon. Member to the reply given on 30 October 2006, Official Report, column 46W, which sought details of financial support and support in kind given to the Muslim Council of Britain.

Information from previous Departments is not held centrally and cannot be researched further without disproportionate cost.
Since the MCB does not have a structure that can be in any way accountable, and publishes no accounts, this is starting to point to a situation where there is no way to know how much public money they have received, why, and how they have spent it.
