Jupiter acts...This is exactly as one would expect.

Jupiter acts as a giant planetary vacuum cleaner. There are huge numbers of interplanetary pieces of debris lurking about beyond Saturn and out to the Oort cloud.

When one of these is disturbed from where it "lived" for the last 4.5 billion years it comes in towards the Sun and gets attracted towards the largest mass on the way in i.e. Jupiter.

The presence of Jupiter (and to a lesser extent Saturn) is probably an important factor in the evolution of life on the Earth.Alan Bnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12471112.post-11540224164913381062009-08-01T19:57:13.412+01:002009-08-01T19:57:13.412+01:00There seems to be a lot of celestial occurences re...There seems to be a lot of celestial occurences recently:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8179067.stmJuliaMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07844126589712842477noreply@blogger.com
